Eric Seguin Shares His Testimony

9.25.24 Chapel Recap

Mr. Seguin shared a powerful testimony about his journey with Christ, reflecting on how his faith became personal and life-changing. Growing up in a church-going family with deeply involved parents, he was baptized at 14. Yet, he recalls, “I knew of God, but in that moment, I didn’t really know Him.”

It wasn’t until he was 20, attending college in Nashville, TN, that he had a profound realization. Observing classmates worship with their hands raised in genuine surrender, he noticed their faith felt different. A friend’s bold question struck him: “Have you ever worshipped God in a way that had you go to your knees and just be in awe of Him?” Eric knew he hadn’t, but it sparked a desire to truly know God.

In the months that followed, Eric experienced a direct and beautiful encounter with God that transformed his life forever. This marked the beginning of his genuine walk with Christ—a journey rooted not in tradition, but in a personal relationship with the Lord.

His encouragement to students is clear: faith isn’t about practicing religion, reciting family beliefs, or following what friends do. Instead, God desires a personal relationship with each of us. Eric hopes his story inspires students to seek that relationship for themselves.
