Morning Star Christian School is hiring a full-time K–5 Homeroom Teacher responsible for leading instruction in core subjects: Bible, math, language arts, science, and social studies. This position includes lesson planning, student assessment, classroom management, and regular parent communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Education (required)
Oregon teaching license (preferred or in progress)
2+ years classroom teaching experience
Ability to integrate a Biblical worldview into all subjects
Experience differentiating instruction and supporting diverse learners

Morning Star Christian School is seeking a full-time Middle School Humanities Teacher to teach integrated language arts, literature, and social studies to students in grades 6–8. This role includes lesson planning, classroom instruction, student assessment, and fostering meaningful classroom discussion from a Biblical worldview.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Education, English, History, or related field (required)
Oregon teaching license (preferred or in progress)
2+ years teaching experience, preferably in grades 6–8
Strong writing and communication skills
Ability to integrate faith and critical thinking across disciplines

Morning Star Christian School is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to support our K–5 homeroom teachers. This role includes assisting with classroom instruction, supervising students during recess and transitions, supporting small group learning, and helping maintain a safe, Christ-centered environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting
A heart for serving and encouraging students
Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively
Dependable, flexible, and aligned with the mission of MSCS
Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, times may vary and are negotiable based on availability and classroom needs.

About Morning Star Christian School

The Role
The K–8 Principal is responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of our K–8 program. This includes:
Providing spiritual leadership to staff, students, and families
Supporting and overseeing curriculum implementation across all subject areas
Conducting teacher evaluations and leading professional development
Managing 504 Plans and Service Plans for students with accommodations
Ensuring student well-being and implementing restorative discipline practices
Partnering with the Head of School on hiring, staff development, and strategic initiatives
Leading with vision, humility, and a deep commitment to the mission of Christian education
Qualifications
A committed follower of Jesus Christ who leads with integrity and love
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (preferred)
3–5 years of leadership experience, ideally in a Christian school
Strong knowledge of K–8 instruction, curriculum, and student development
A heart for mentoring teachers and partnering with parents
Skilled in managing academic support services (504/Service Plans)
